In this volume three performers talk about “community based” theater and the responsibilities such art carries when a performer uses someone else’s words and experiences.

Gregory Ramos is the author of Border Stories, a one-man show based on gay people living in the US/Mexico border.

Ashley Lucas is the author of a one-woman show, titled, Doin’ Time: Through the Visiting Glass, based on interviews with the families and relatives of prisoners.

Christopher Ramirez is the author of Color Bonita, a ’state of the art’ presentation based on interviews with gay men.
